I feel like this place has the best, most caring vets in the area. Very caring. Very good and kind to your pets.

If i could give them a negative star i would!! For an office to have motto called "We Love your Pet" Is so far from the truth, they are a disgraceful heartless and unprofessional office. my experience there today while putting my cat of 17 years down was the worst!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!The cruel and insensitive bed side manner from Dr. HUGH STRICKLAND was highly unprofessional and inhumane!!! i accidentally came to my apt at 12:30 instead of 2:15, i didn't realize that the apt was later due to my cats ill health. I put down many animals over the years, and know in my past experiences from different vets there are many humane and compassionate ways in handling this situation. I simply asked to be with my pet Bootsy and stay with her at a time that i felt she needed me the most, while they administered the iv sedation prior to putting her down..It was at that point that he told me that 1. i wasn't allowed to stay in the room and 2. He was going straight to the chase and putting her down without sedating her first to relax her. He then stated "this is the way i do it and IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU CAN TAKE HER SOMEWHERE ELSE". As i watch my cat pant and struggling to breathe i was left with no option to take her to another vet. Dr. Strickland was VERY COLD and ABRUPT. He said "tell me what your gonna do, you want me to put her down or are you gonna take her?". I told him to put her down, at that time he told us to leave the room. I went to pay my bill and i asked the receptionist at the front who was going to spay my kitten whom i already had an apt for on july 17th ? She told me Dr. Strickland would be doing the surgery, i then said i prefer to schedule with Dr. Smith. She told me he floats between offices and you can schedule with him on the 20th which i said yes i will take that appointment. As a patient i know it is your right to seek patient care from the doctor of your choice. Being a concerned customer who i bring all my animals to i then let her know that i was dissatisfied with the handling of my cats procedure today. The receptionist then told me "maybe its because he had to cut his lunch short" due to my early arrival. I then left upset and distraught on the way home, not realizing i missed a phone call. I had a voice mail from ADVANCE VETERINARY CARE informing me that Dr. Hugh Strickland dismissed me as a patient and canceled my appointment with Dr. Smith and has mailed my animals records to me to take to another vet. This is what you call salt on the wound, not only did i just put my cat of 17 years to sleep, but on the way home i got a voicemail dismissing. me as a patient for exercising my right to see which ever doctor i choose in that practice.
Very friendly from the moment you step inside the door. Not much of a wait. We had Doctor Kevin Smith who was very nice. Did not rush us, was very good to both my dogs. The assistant was also very good with animals. We felt like all our questions were answered. The receptionist had our bill ready right away, again no waiting. Very happy with this vet and all of his employees. Will definitely be going back here with all of my animals.
We take both of our babies here. They treat us and our pets like royalty and they are very affordable and never try to push anything extra that you don't need. Great staff and very knowledgeable!
