Great place for a quick weekend trip! Continental breakfast very small/limited in what they offer. Would suggest eating out unless you honestly can't afford to.
Stayed at the location off 501 room 207. Security lock was broke which normally wouldn't concern me except for the fact that there was a fight which involved knives outside of my door last night. I was woken up to what sounded like someone trying to break in but it was the fight which also included getting blood all over my door, neighbors door and all over the Walk way. Pretty roudy place. Would not recommend for anyone who likes peaceful and uneventful surrounding.
My husband and I were in town for a funeral in December around Christmas.. I booked online for a great price and confirmed the bed size. When we checked in the front desk was not very talkative and he didnt initiate the conversation. He put us in a handicap room(which we are not) and didnt tell us..so when we arrived in the room we immediately called the front desk to see if we can switch rooms. He said "Oh, dont worrry we dont have any hadicap guest this week."(I was not comfortable staying in the room mostly because of the shower-the water sprays all over the floor) After I had told him this he said he would switch our room, but he didnt have another single room. I was fine with that I would pay extra if needed. So we finally hot to our second room(whicvh was a single-so he lied) it was a nice, clean room. It could use updating/remodelling: refrigerator doesn't work, shower has some rust, and peeling paint, toilet rattles when you sit down. It just looks old and dated. Bed is pretty comfortable and it's in a good location with gas station, Wal-Mart and several restaurants in the area.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Rooms are out dated and dirty. I found an old dried up bottle of hair glue under my bed and there was nail polish on my sheets (which did not look like they had been washed). The second day my key stopped working, note that we're in the back building on the second floor, it took me 4 times of going back and forth to the front desk to get someone to call maintenance and have my door opened. The laundry and ice area is absolutely horrendous. We switched to the hotel directly next to this one and it was wonderful. Avoid this hotel if you can!!
Management could be friendlier. Medication missing from room. Rooms could be cleaner. I had to reclean the bathroom myself before using it. Had to search down maid to get clean towels. One employee speaks no english what so ever and is of no help at all. They're strict policy of not taking any of their "continental breakfast food" out of the lobby even when you have a sick child in the room, is appalling. Makes you feel like a Jew trying to sneak food into a concentration camp for a loved one and that's no joke I'm Jewish. They should take a look at Comfort Inn as an example on how to do a continental breakfast. However it is in a good location, not far from Conway or Myrtle Beach. Minutes from Conway Medical Center and the University. Several local good places to eat and a grocery store within 3 minutes drive. They have very good walk in specials that you can not get on any of the websites.
