The doctor is more concerned about rescuing stray dogs and milking insurances for repeat visits than helping patients. Smart people will avoid this doctor.
If I could give less than one star i would. I went in for a Nerve Test which they only do on Fridays and it's only one doctor who does them, and I had an appointment at 11 am. I showed up at 10:20 so I could get in, get out and go to work at noon. Boy was i wrong! I waited until 11:45 and when I Asked the front desk how long it would be they said " I have no idea" I ended up leaving and I will not be going back.

At my previous appointment I waited an hour to see the doctor and when they got me, I waited another hour in the patient room to get my x-ray done!
HORRIBLE. Charged me $300 for a 45 second appointment, said my only hope was surgery, based on one GLANCE at ONE x-ray. NEVER discussed conservative measures of ANY kind and then sent a bill ten days later for an additional $115 after 3 people said I was paid in full. I could have flushed $300 down the drain and got as much help.
After falling and breaking my tailbone I was referred to Coastal Orthopedic. My first visit I saw a nurse practitioner and that visit was fine. Well they set me up to be seen by a Dr. Mills for my next visit. When I was taken back , they sent me in for X-rays. I was then sent to a room where the nurse question me. Then another female came in and did an exam. Then she left., I heard her and Dr. Mills taking at the door before he even came in. He told her to set me up for and MRI before he even look at my X-rays. He came in told me I needed a MRI because tailbone injuries are hard to see on and X-ray but he still did not look at the x-ray. I saw the x-ray and could clearly see the broken bone and I'm not a doctor. I told him I could see the broken bone on the x-ray. He finally look at the x-rays, and said maybe you don't need a MRI I can see the broken bone. I was given another appointment for him to recheck my tailbone. Went to that appointment still in a lot of pain he told me I didn't need to come back to see and that I was probably be in pain for awhile. Three months later a drunk man ran into my husband and total his car he was referred to Dr. Mills. My husband was in a lot of pain the first thing he said was we are going to have to do a MRI. The lady that came in after him did an exam and told him he needed steroids. My husband told her he did not want to take steroids because he has ADHD and that h didn't like the way they make him feel. The last time they were given to him they made his heart race, but she kept telling him that was what he needed. So my husband walked out of there in pain with no help. I don't understand Dr. Mills comes in the room and he is out in 2-3 minutes. They do not listen to the patients and wants to send people for a MRI before he even check them. I am looking for another orthopedic doctor for my husband and I.
I read the reviews for Dr. Mills,, and I had great concerns for my upcoming surgery. I spoke with several people that had negative remarks as well. I felt the need to share my experience thus far. I decided to continue to see Dr. Mills for my medical issues and surgery. The staff, especially Pat Hucks, Angela, his nurse and desk staff treated me with respect and professionalism. Dr. Mills took the time to address my questions and concerns. This week I had neck surgery and thus far all good. Dr. Mills, and staff deserve four stars for the manner in which my medical issues were addressed, and the treatment that followed. I am pleased I decided to continue, and I understand others had bad experience, however I did not. Thank you for the manner in which you treated me and my health issues.
