I think a call to Blue Cross may be in this faculty's future if they don't start treating patients with the proper care & courtesy that they ask for. I'm not just doing this for myself but for everyone else who had to endure such callous treatment from this staff.

I have to 100% agree with Eric Bean on Dr. Klauberg. He is absolutely arrogant, unsympathetic and disregards anything you try to tell him.

A couple months ago me and my mom (who is dealing with recurring cancer mind you) were trying to bring up important information to him regarding my major heart issues, my short term memory problems, my physical exhaustion (As I have had heart problems my whole life) heavy anxiety and he was very cold & dismissive telling us we had a "toxic" relationship because I lived with my parents my whole life who mind you aren't the healthiest people in the world. Families are supposed to take care of each other...how exactly is that "toxic"? Oh yeah and he jacked up my meds too for a quick answer...if all of the doctors are like this in the facility...god help all these poor people.

UPDATE:

The one star solely comes from the two therapists that I have been

after reading everyone else's reviews my heart is heavy. Everything they have experienced I have too. I went there with my husband begging for help. He needed his meds, was having severe panic and anxiety attacks, hearing voices and even suicidal. He was shaking really bad. We went there begging for help. They put him in as a crisis patient. A lady named Beth pulled us to the side in a little hallway and basically told us there is nothing she can do and that we had to wait for the doctor appointment, which was a whole month away. She also said once he saw the doctor that "it's very rare he will prescribe any medication for Anxiety".

A terrible facility. It's been a few yrs since I stopped going there but it was the worst place I have ever been for counseling and will never go back there. My husband was dying at the time and I would have been better off if I never went there. I was a social worker at one time and no where I ever worked was like this place. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. I don't understand how they stay open or how the state of SC keeps them open. They don't abide by federal laws or procedures. I believe they do more harm than good. Please state of SC look into this place something needs to done immediately!!! This is the only place in this area for counseling and it offers nothing. People need help and there is nothing in this area!!! Why... I now moving out of SC .....

My husband has attempted suicide twice in this whole time. He ended up in Three Rivers Behavioral help, came home and was doing okay. He was trying to make it until he saw Dr. Klausburg. Unfortunately he did not make it. He went to waccamaw begging for help yet again. Only this time they said they will put him in lighthouse. He said okay! He really wanted to feel better and wanted everything to go away, so he agreed. He got to see Dr. Klauburg that day for 5 minutes!!!! He did not care to hear our story. He made us leave my husband there. After we left I called to see if he was transferred to Lighthouse only to be told by front desk that he is was sitting in the lobby waiting for a bed. IN THE LOBBY! Mind

I said it before and I'll say it again, THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!!!! They do not care. Please, please, please, avoid going here.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly which is important when seeking help with physiatrists. However when my fiancé had seen Dr. Klauburg changed everything. He was on the computer the entire time, very unsympathetic and not professional. He wanted to increase her medications and get rid of one which would have been ok If he thought it would help. But when asking about an alternative treatment he said he could not help me and to go back to her medical Dr because she had not yet agreeded to any change in medications. Even told her to calm down.... She was sitting in his office quietly and desperate for help in tears and would never act out. I have heard several complaints. Will not recommend this Dr to an enemy. What dr says to a patient who needs mental health help that he cannot help. Also takes extremely to long for an appointment. I have never heard so many bad reviews on this faculty. Shame on you.

This place is a joke! My husband has gone to them multiple times begging for help and they kept turning us away. He is now back in a mental health hospital Because they keep making my husband wait weeks before he can see a therapist/psychiatrist. please please if you have loved ones battling a mental illness DO NOT go here. They DO NOT CARE! They collect a pay check and thats all!

If you are seeking professional help for mental illnesss this is not the practice to help. What a joke.

STAY away from this abyss like the plague.

this place should be shut down. After 2 weeks of trying to get an appointment, endless phone calls and driving to the office for an intake. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED! They have lost all my daughters paperwork. Great HIPPA practice there. Front deak clerks totally threatened me. Not one , Not two but three. I could go on and on. I will be reporting to Medical board. I will not stop until they are handled. Look at all the ratings.

Now.....the bad:

talking with. The first was Raydeena who helped me out quite a bit when I started out here but she unfortunately moved away and then I got Barrett as my new therapist. He's fine too.

You, my husband went there shaking, suicidal, hearing voices, etc. they left him sitting in the lobby for over 5 hrs!!!

Today I had a scheduled appointment...went in and found out from the secretary that they never had me in their system for that day when they clearly gave me June 5th for a therapy session on a card. So not only is the doctor uncaring but they are in such disarray with their records. (Apparently from other reviews I've read here it seems losing appointments happens a lot with this facility and that is unacceptable)

We have gone there 3x begging for help and was turned away.

He went to Lighthouse and did 7 days. Came out with a bunch of medications that he did not need. If someone would just hear us out or listen to my husband they would know what meds my husband was taking. Or you know, maybe call his old doctor in New Jersey. His new meds did not work. My husband tried to hang himself. He is now back in mental health.
